Rafael Nadal won his 10th ATP Masters Series title and a record fourth consecutive Masters Series Monte-Carlo crown with a 7-5, 7-5 win over ATP World No. 1 Roger Federer in Sunday’s final

Nadal rallied from 0-4 in the second set to beat Federer in the Monte-Carlo final for the third consecutive year and for the seventh time in eight career meetings on clay. Nadal leads Federer 9-6 in career meeetings on all surfaces and snapped a two-match losing streak to the Swiss. Nadal, who has ranked No. 2 behind Federer for a record 144 consecutive weeks (since July 25, 2005-present),has won 97 of 98 clay court matches since winning his first Monte Carlo title in April 2005. Nadal has not dropped a set during his past two title runs in Monte-Carlo. No doubt this all-time favourite masters serie would be much more attractive if it hadn’t been for the Serbian tennis and girls’ star Novak Djokovic who pulled out the semi-final match against Federer yesterday. The Swiss top seed was leading 6:3 3:2 when Novak complained that he felt dizzy and retired after 1 hour and 11 minutes.

Nadal is also in the doubles final (w/Robredo) and will play No. 4 seeds Bhupathi-Knowles. He is looking to become just the second player in Masters Series history to win singles and doubles titles (Jim Courier won both at Indian Wells in 1991) at the same event.

„DigiCash” е компания, чиято стратегическа мисия е да въведе анонимността в областта на електронните пари. Основателят й, Дейвид Чаум, е създател на криптографираните протоколи, които биха могли да изстрелят валутните ни системи напред в бъдещето. С тяхна помощ е възможно да се създаде такава валутна сфера, в която са комбинирани простотата на електронните транзакции и сигурната защита на анонимното плащане в брой.

Дейвид Чаум отдава живота си на създаването на подобна кодова технология, която възпира злонамерените опити на онези т.нар. „колекционери” на дигитални профили. С течение на времето, Дейвид се превръща в централна фигура в процеса на еволюция на електронните пари, като защитава онази тяхна форма, при която индивидуалните детайли са напълно защитени от любопитните погледи на държавата, корпорациите и др.

Човекът, стоящ в основата на този непрекъснат процес, днес обяснява, че необходимата промяна не е деспотично налагана. Единственото, което трябва да разберат хората, според думите му, е че анонимността стои в основата на успеха на настъпващата ера на електронните пари.

Следващата голяма крачка към дигиталната епоха има пряко отношение към портфейла на индивида. Банкнотите, които всекидневно употребяваме, са част от кодово запечатани електронни потоци, струпани в чипа на смарт-картите, в електронния портфейл (четец на такива карти с размера на обикновен калкулатор) или хард-диска на компютъра – свързани по начина, който ни позволява безпроблемно пазаруване във виртуалните молове.

Разбира се, реалните пари – милиардите, които обслужват ежедневно банки, финансови институции и правителствени клирингови къщи – отдавна са в електронен вид. Никъде не се разменят парични знаци в техния физически вид. Но електронизацията на последния етап от обмяната на пари, там където монетите и банкнотите придобиват реален образ, е новата и различна стъпка във финансовия свят. Тя не само ще промени физическия начин, по който харчим парите си, но ще промени и възгледа спрямо собственото ни икономическо съществуване.

И все пак – наистина ли ще настъпи ерата на дигиталните пари? Несъмнено. Твърдата валута бе полезна с течение на хилядолетия, но в наши дни тя не отговаря на нарастващите нужди. Още повече, че с напредъка на висококачествените цветни копирни машини, сигурността на хартиените пари е изключително застрашена. Все по-големите изисквания за безопасност оскъпяват използването им. Конфликтите, свързани с управлението на този риск, правят тези пари нежелано средство. Употребата на дебитни и кредитни карти става все по-популярна, но тези системи нямат необходимата защита срещу злоупотреби, което води до нарастващо търсене на ефективна електронна парична система, която едновременно да предпазва от злоупотреби и да защитава потребителската анонимност.
