Nowadays people consider money the most important factor in life, something that determines their destinies. The commonly accepted persuasion is that money talks and it is the main agent that shows us the way to success and happiness.

In my view, money can do a lot and it could make life easier by overcoming various obstacles. Undoubtedly, money is a substantial modifier of our way of living. But what is more important, money cannot buy love or real happiness. This is something that financial resources will never achieve. And though they give us the opportunity to reach a significant status, to lead a luxurious life and to feel more or less independent, they cannot buy inner satisfaction, pride, dignity, or a sense of being truly loved.

My main opinion is that money is just one of the ways to reach certain goals, but it is not the way we should always look at the world of emotions, confidence and relations. Money must not take any place there, because it could make people reach a specific “artificial” point in their lives, where the border between real and imaginative disappears and they won’t be able to explain to themselves where it will all lead them.

Money often create the fraudulent sense of independence, and, in fact, it’s just the opposite. It drags people into the black circle of greed and the wish for dominance over anything. If we free our minds of the thought about money, we will see that the ways for reaching our purposes are numerous and money is maybe the most disgraceful of them.

It is beyond question that money is what makes the world go round. But we must never forget that it is just the outer world. The dimensions of our lives are multiple and we should not let money reign over all of them.
